Memorial sculpture of Woitek the bear and WW2 Polish Soldier.
Powderhall Bronze were contracted to produce a cast bronze, life and 1/2 size sculpture of the the Soldier with the bear plus a 4 metre long relief panel depicting the story of Woitek the bear. The memorial not only serves to remember the fallen Polish servicemen and veterans of the war, but it also acts as a focal point for the current Polish community in Edinburgh.
